Meet Your Surgery Team

Shasta has been our Nurse Manager at our Vision Surgery and Laser Center for two years. She is from North Bend but has called Roseburg home for the last eleven years. Shasta graduated from UCC's nursing program and went on to work for an OB/GYN for five years before coming to WEC. When she is not in the OR, Shasta enjoys camping, hiking and watching her three kids in sports. She loves the reaction our patients have after their cataract surgery and thinks our patients are the best!

Kelly began working for our office in 1993 as a Receptionist and because of her compassion for patients she was promoted to work in the surgery center. Kelly wears many hats in our office as you can tell. Kelly does everything from counseling patients and their families throughout the surgery procedure, sterilizing instruments, maintaining a smooth flow of patients, and providing post-operative instructions before going home after surgery. Kelly and her husband Chad together have three children that are all fresh out of school and have a grandchild on the way. During their free time, Kelly and Chad enjoy spending time working on and playing with their jeep.

Donna: is our laser assistant and viewing room technician. During Dr. Weston’s Cataract surgies, Donna explains the cataract surgery to patient’s family members who chose to observe their family members cataract surgery. Donna also assists with LASER surgery paperwork and procedure. When she isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
 

Susie: is our discharge RN. She takes great pride in offering our surgery patients a safe, private and personal experience. With Susie, you know immediately that patient well-being is the only thing that matters. She is devoted to our patients, while obtaining their vital signs and helps them recover from their surgery. It is with confidence that our team and all of our surgical patients place their trust in her. She is known for her methodical grace, soft spoken confidence and compassion. Extremely kind, Susie finds enormous satisfaction as she calmly guides the patient through the many details about their recovery.
